GRAMMAR CHAPTER ONE QUIZ EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY

The following assignment should be handwritten or typed, with your heading (name, English 8, Period #, Date) in the upper left hand corner and labeled "Grammar Chapter One Extra Credit". Do Now: SSR Time. (15 minutes) Complete log Grammar: Copy lists of Pronouns in Grammar section of notebook. They are on pages 32-36 in Holt Handbook. Make sure you label it "List of Pronouns" -- because these are the only words that can be used as pronouns. Copy lists of Helping Verbs (pg 52) and Linking Verbs (pg 55) as well and label accordingly. You will need these lists when you take your quiz in the future. Complete Holt Handbook. Complete Page 57: Review A and Page 58 Review B. Literature: Finish Act 2, Scene 2 and try your best with the remaining question(s). We will go over this tomorrow. What would you say if a relative of the prince asked to marry your daughter? (Write this like you are really speaking to him!) Do Now: Read SSR book (15 minutes). Complete log. Remember, you have eight more days to finish your book. Grammar: Complete Pages 24-5: Diagnostic Preview in the Grammar section of your notebook. Make sure you label your work. Literature: Create a chart of three columns in the literature section of your notebook. In the first column, list everything you remember about William Shakespeare. In the middle column, list anything you don't know, but would like to learn, about Shakespeare and Romeo and Juliet. If you finish, you may listen to music and read, or work on work for another class. If you did not submit an essay, you may work on it now and submit it by the end of your class for half credit. You must use your phone, and share the document with me at bogotaeenglish8@gmail.com
