Do Now SSR Time (15 minutes) Complete log Literature Objective: The student is able to discuss traits of characters in popular television shows. The student is able to discuss ways the character is characterized. Break into groups -- each group will be given a different character from a different television show. Discuss the traits of these characters; complete the Character Trait Graphic Organizer. One spokesperson will share the traits the group picked for each character, deciding on one trait that they think is the most important, and why. The students will then be given the Types of Characterization Graphic Organizer. Students will use the Elements of Literature textbook to decide HOW they learned that this character had this specific trait. Students will give at least one example of each method of characterization. Homework Read SSR Book (30 minutes)

Literature Chapter One Test (Plot)

Tomorrow, Tuesday, you will have a test on the literary terms and stories that we have read in this chapter of Elements of Literature. You will be able to use your five subject notebook on your test. The following information will be on your test. what belongs in your notebook is in italics. Do Now Find a partner that you feel comfortable sharing your personal narrative with, and sit with him or her today.  Log on to the Chrome Books and share your personal narrative with your partner. Writing Objective: The student will be able to write a narrative developing a real experience, using effective technique, relevant descriptive details, and well-structured event sequences. The student will be able to make suggestions to a partner about writing techniques, such as flashbacks and dialogue; relevant descriptive details, such as sensory detail and precise language; and well-structured event sequences that should be in chronological order.  Review what is on Peer-Edit sheet (hand out and on Smartboard/website).
