HOW did you read? (For example, were you distracted? Did you find words and sentences that you didn't understand? Did you stay focused the entire time? Did you understand everything you read? Did you need to re-read passages? Did you question any character's choices?"
WRITE ONE SENTENCE ABOUT HOW YOU READ
"I read fast" or "I read slow" or "I read well" are not acceptable answers because they are not specific. I can tell if you read quickly or slowly from the number of pages you read. Use the above questions as a guide.

Share one student's introduction and first body paragraph on SmartBoard;
Revise, edit proofread
Write second and third body paragraphs using directions from YESTERDAY's post
* You must use at least one exact quote in your essay
* I will assist you in finding a quote from Gone if necessary
* There are many resources online for quotes from books/movies as well

We do not have the Chromebooks today, so you can handwrite in the writing section of your notebook OR use your phone or a school i-Pad to continue in Google Docs

Continue to read SSR book
Prepare for Grammar Chapter One Quiz (Friday)

Welcome Baby Henry!

Baby Henry David was born on Wednesday, April 18th, 2018, weighing 8 pounds and 4 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches long. Baby Henry came early because Mommy had sudden onset of a disorder called HELLP Syndrome and the doctors felt the best treatment for everyone was to make an early entrance! Maybe we can visit in June after all!
