Spring Recess Update 3/31/18

I have graded all Literature Chapter One Tests. The grades are in RealTime. If you are interested in Extra Credit, please see the separate post and share with me on Google Docs by Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018 at 11:00A.M. You may submit your Timeline for late credit (50 points) by Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018 at 11:00A.M. I will not accept this assignment later than that, as I will be finished grading them by then. All Timelines that I have in my possession will be graded for FULL credit, ev...

School Walk UP Day

School Walk UP Day In addition to National School Walk OUT Day yesterday to raise awareness and protest gun violence in schools, many schools across the nation sponsored National School Walk UP Day to promote kindness and empathy to other students.  It is always important to be kind to each other and to your teachers. You have no idea how a small act of kindness -- like saying hello to a teacher or another student you don't always talk to -- can make such a big difference in their day. In honor of School Walk UP Day, I'd like to do a similar activity to promote kindness and empathy within our school community. I challenge you to perform SEVENTEEN random acts of kindness in our school over the next two weeks.  Some suggestions: - Invite a student who typically sits alone at lunch to sit with you and your group of friends.  - Smile and say hello to a student (or a teacher) that you do not know. - Write a teacher a thank you note telling him or her...
