Happy Pi Day!
Today, we will be doing an activity in the library with Miss Albirt to celebrate Pi Day (3/14 = 3.14, which is pi!)

National School Walk Out Day
Period 2-3 will have a shortened period today due to the National School Walk Out Assembly and event, which will occur at 9:30A.M.

English 8 Reminders
* Tomorrow, we will be working on your SSR project IN CLASS. You will have to show me what you have accomplished at the end of class. You will also have time in class on Friday. You should be prepared to submit your project at the end of the period on Friday. If you are not ready, you should be able to show me what you have accomplished in two days, and if you still need a small amount of additional time, you will be permitted to hand in the completed project on Monday. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE SSR BOOK THAT YOU HAVE FINISHED READING ON HAND TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT. NO EXTRA TIME WILL BE GIVEN IF YOU FORGET YOUR BOOK AND YOU ARE UNABLE TO WORK. NO EXTRA TIME WILL BE GIVEN FOR STUDENTS THAT DO NOT USE THE TIME IN CLASS WISELY.

*I have read and made suggestions to all Period 1-2 and 2-3 Personal Narrative essays. I have started to read and make suggestions to the Period 5-6 essays. Please look at my suggestions in the comments on Google Docs and see me as soon as possible if you have any questions. Please revise accordingly if you plan to earn the best grade possible (Due date to be assigned.)

* You will have one more SSR Log check before the end of March.

Spring Recess Update 3/31/18

I have graded all Literature Chapter One Tests. The grades are in RealTime. If you are interested in Extra Credit, please see the separate post and share with me on Google Docs by Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018 at 11:00A.M. Period 6-7 ONLY will have until Thursday, April 5th, 2018 at 11:00A.M. to complete extra credit because their grades went in significantly later than the other classes. I apologize for that.
