Hi, friends. I'm sorry I can't be in today -- I would not miss our cupcake party for no reason! Rosalie has a cough and cold and is running a low fever. One of her friends at school had the flu, so we're going to the doctor today to get it checked out. I promise fresh cupcakes to our February and May birthdays upon my return. I will be busy eating these in the meantime 🤣

DO NOW
Copy the bold faced terms and their definitions from pages 134-135 and from page 142, including the   Vocabulary terms. This should go on the literature section of your notebook. Label it Chapter 2: Characters.

LITERATURE
Start where we left off yesterday and finish reading "Harriet Tubman."

Three students owe me work -- they know who they are -- please share with me on Google Docs or give to Mrs. King so I can modify your grade before progress reports.

Welcome Baby Henry!

Baby Henry David was born on Wednesday, April 18th, 2018, weighing 8 pounds and 4 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches long. Baby Henry came early because Mommy had sudden onset of a disorder called HELLP Syndrome and the doctors felt the best treatment for everyone was to make an early entrance! Maybe we can visit in June after all!
